The Dialysis Technician program prepares students to work as trained dialysis technicians who can perform hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis on Fresenius and B Braun equipment. The course also covers how to prepare dialysis fluids, as well as how to clean and store dialyzers for future use. A diploma or certificate holder may set up and operate dialysis equipment, mix dialysate according to the formula, and prepare the machine by priming it with saline or heparinized solution.
